TAMK University of Applied Sciences, located in Tampere Finland, is an active member in networks and initiatives dealing with the development of higher education in the Euro-Mediterranean region. Now TAMK would like to extend these activities to joint research and development projects with other universities and organizations interested in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The idea is to find new innovative solutions through a dialogue between the organizations of the Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea regions. TAMK has a special interest in joint projects involving project groups of university students from the higher education institutions of these regions. TAMK has two international education programmes given in English: Environmental Engineering and International Business. Sustainable sanitation and catastrophe logistics are examples of possible project topics. Further information can be obtained from Research Director Perttu Heino by e-mail to perttu.heino@tamk.fi.
